Training Trainers

Our clients understand that their in house trainers need to be confident and competent to deliver excellent training courses. Ian has worked with a number of clients to develop the skills of their training teams.

Facilitation Skills

One client asked Ian to improve the facilitation skills of its trainers. Most of the trainers were highly experienced instructors but they weren’t confident in stimulating discussions and getting delegates to explore the issues themselves. We ran a session with each trainer which helped them to understand the benefits of following a more facilitative approach. The results were highly positive and the approach was immediately adopted by the majority of the trainers.

Learning Design

Some clients have asked us to develop a consistent format for the production of their internal training materials and then to train their trainers on how to produce training courses using these new materials. This method has helped training teams to deliver a consistent, corporate approach.

Enhanced Training Skills

One client asked us to improve the skills of the regionally based trainers. The trainers had widely varying levels of experience and so we developed an approach which helped to update their knowledge and confidence whilst they received supportive feedback from their peers. They also learned about their own Learning Styles and how that could impact on the way that they delivered training.
