Awards and Recognition

Our materials get noticed.  They’re also acknowledged, throughout the UK, as being highly effective.  One of our clients believes that its training, much of which has been produced by us, has contributed towards a reduction in staff turnover of over 18% and an annual cost saving, in just one specific area of £20,000.  As one of our client’s employees told us, “Part of the company’s success must surely be down to the very high quality training it provides.”

The National Training Awards

The National Training Awards are the UK’s number one accolade for businesses, organisations and individuals who have achieved lasting excellence and success through training and learning.

In 2006, the awards were run by UK Skills on behalf of the Department for Education and Skills.

“National Training Awards finalists and winners are inspiring examples of the best that training and development can achieve.”
Jacqui Henderson CBE,
Chief Executive, UK Skills

After a rigorous entry and audit process, Ian was delighted to receive a North West Regional Training Award, in partnership with A-Plant, one of our clients, for Excellence in Management.

This programme combines many of the separate projects that Ian has developed for the company.  These awards are presented to entries that have shown outstanding achievement in training in their region.

Professional Recognition

Two of the training schemes, for which Ian has developed the materials, have been accredited as professional development schemes by The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).  One of these schemes was for Graduate Engineers, the other for Craft Apprentices.

"The IET is one of the world’s leading professional societies for the engineering and technology community, with more than 150,000 members in 127 countries and offices in Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific.  The IET provides a global knowledge network to facilitate the exchange of ideas and promote the positive role of science, engineering and technology in the world."

"Accredited schemes typically build on established development programmes already in place to meet the needs of the business.  They must provide the necessary training, development and experience to enable individuals to build a portfolio of evidence and demonstrate the required level of competence for professional registration."

"Accredited schemes are promoted by the IET to students and graduates as an ideal vehicle for their entry into the professional world of engineering and technology."*

Hire Awards of Excellence

The Hire Association Europe (HAE), the leading trade association for hire and rental companies in the UK and Ireland, awarded one of our clients its Excellence in Training Award.  It made the award “in recognition of the company’s innovative training initiatives.”

Our client’s entry was based on five training schemes.  Three of these schemes were produced solely by us and one jointly with our client’s training team.
