The National Training Awards 2006 The National Training Awards are the UK's number one accolade for businesses, organisations and individuals who have achieved lasting excellence and success through training and learning. The awards are run by UK Skills on behalf of the Department for Education and Skills.
In October 2006, after a rigorous entry and audit process, Ian was delighted to receive a North West Regional Training Award, in partnership with A-Plant, one of our main clients, for Excellence in Management. This programme combines many of the
separate projects that we have produced for the company. Regional
awards are presented to entries who have shown outstanding achievement in
training in their region. |

2006 Hire Awards of Excellence In May 2006, the Hire Association Europe (HAE), the leading trade association for hire and rental companies in the UK and Ireland, awarded A-Plant with its Excellence in Training Award. It made the award "in recognition of the company’s innovative training initiatives." A-Plant's entry was based on five training schemes. Three of these schemes were produced solely by us and one in partnership with A-Plant's training team. |

Ecclesiastical Insurance - As part of his work supporting the local community, Ian has also used his skills and experience to develop a number of resources for his local church, St Margaret's, Streatley, Bedfordshire. These include a selection of booklets and leaflets, along with and a website with over 300 pages. (His local newspaper called him "a creative genius" for his development of the site.) Ian has also written a script for a baptism DVD. Ian's work helped his church to be chosen as one of the twelve finalists in Ecclesiastical Insurance's 2006 competition to recognise those churches that have been most successful in adapting to a modern society and changing local communities. Some of his photographs even appear on the finalists' calendar.
